Hi All,
My shed Is up and the hutches have been moved in.
My only concern now is no lighting...
I cannot it to an electric socket due to location but feel they should have a light on.
Do you put lights in your shed and keep them on all night or just use a light when you go to check on them last thing at night.
Thanks Vickie

ive moved mine into shed today,i use those battery led lights you get from B&m stores.they work very well.its a tight squeeze in my shed now, with bedding and hay stored in there !

I only put the light on where I'm doing stuff in the shed. If it's dark it's dark! I use a great solar light as I have no mains power to the shed either

I've just seen a rat running from when the hutch used to be up our back steps and now worried and concerned for me piggies in the shed.
I can see if neighbour see a rat too I'm going to be branded responsible now for getting a shed and having pigs.
I always clean up and the hay is kept on top of the hutch and the good too in a plastic container.
Any advise please very much welcomed

I use a combination of a headtorch and hang a rechargeable work light up in the shed when I am working in there. The one I have is smaller and was much cheaper, but just so you get the idea. I do not leave it on all night for them.

Well inspection of new shed tonight and nothing untoward under it. So eat blocks going to to prevent.

Do you still bring your pigs in every night in this cold and darkness?
I'm worried with it being dark.

There is nothing wrong with keeping your piggies in a shed. This is where my piggies live. ;)

Nope, they get all the exercise they need during the day, they spend the evening relaxing and sleeping. ;)
