Hi everyone,

I have 2 piggies that have a diet consisting of burgees long strand hay, burgees mint pellets and fresh veg and water.

Routine is lots of hay in the morning, a bowl of pellets and small amount of bell peppers.

Evening is lots more hay and around 4 or 5 different veggies and herbs. Red and green leaf lettuce, peppers, cabbage, broccoli, cucumber, coriander, parsley, thyme, rosemary, basil, spinach, rocket, kale. I alternate these everyday.

My question is why does one of my piggies have very light brown poop and the other has dark poop. I know their poop should be dark, but eating the same diet you’d think their poop would be the same. I’ve tried to make sure evening veggies both piggies are eating the same veggies and amount, but still the different poop colour remains.

Every piggies poops are different I find a mixtures of light and dark with our bits and one does notable larger ones than the other!

As long as they are not pointy or soft I’m sure they will be fine!

I’ve six piggies and they poop differently. Just keep an eye on what’s usual and seek vets advice if you’re concerned. A piggie with poo changes needs to be seen by a vet
