So I recently bought home a new (very naughty) kitten after losing our old lady cat and she has officially evicted the piggies from their home. I was feeding the little pigs this morning and all of a sudden the cat started scaling the side of the C&C cage which was on a table! Obviously I moved the piggies out of there right away and swooped them into a run upstairs in the spare room. It's a good job too because when I came down there was a cat inside the cage! No piggies were harmed and they didn't even know what was happening :)

Now the piggies moved out of the spare room and downstairs so they could be around us more but kitty has had a different plan and decided that if she isn't the centre of attention then she'll make sure she is! Archie and Lola are officially back in the spare room BUT to make up for it I've given their house an upgrade... They've gone from a little 2x4 with a 2x2 loft to a 4x4 with a 2x2 loft, plus they have their own room away from any naughty kittens so everyone is a lot happier and less stressed now (mainly me worrying about keeping my eye on the tiny nightmare I have invited into my home!) I've attached a picture of the new cage below (excuse the mess that I made) and I've also attached a photo of Little Miss trying to claim the pigs IKEA bed for herself... Archie and Lola got it back and like I said, no one was hurt in this ordeal, luckily it happened right in front of me while I was on my day off!

I still have some grids left that are just begging to be used so maybe we'll upgrade again soon... I just can't help myself, it never seems like enough space! So now that my house looks like a bomb has hit it with piggies storage boxes and furniture everywhere, everyone is safe and extra happy :)

Amazing setup for Archie and Lola.
I bet they love all the space.
Cute kitten too
There was popcorns all around from the piglets! I think they're enjoying the peace and quiet and having their own window blowing a breeze in, it's the little things haha

@FernEden That cage looks great!

I don't have cats myself but some can be very interested in piggies. Although they're in a different room it might be an idea to create a lid for the cage with your extra grids. I had one on the past, I cable tied some grids to a piece of thin wood for the top so it was a bit stronger.

I am sure they will love extra space created! Good idea from jaycey above too
