They both seem to be annoying each other.

Two reasons I can think of:-

1. Obviously the heat, makes us all a bit touchy, maybe the same with the girls?

2. New neighbour moved in on Thursday and has a Labrador that barks a lot. Could this be unnerving them when they are out in the run?

They are behaving as they were when they were first together. Tilly is wheeking at Hettie and Hettie is doing the grumbling noise back. But then they will be lying together in the hideaway the next time I look.

They just seem a bit grumpy!

I would think that on top of it all, one of the girls (or both) are having a strong season. Hopefully, the drama should be over in a day or latest two!

Could be a combo of both. Neighbour dogs barking must really stress them :( maybe when they get outside time try and time it when the dog is out on a walk?

I agree with above. I know any sudden noises my lot aren't used to unsettles them. Luckily they are used to the dogs an the lawn mower. They just carry on munching now.

They are fine again today even though the dog is still barking quite a bit!

As was mentioned, maybe one, or both of them were in season.
