Hello, I don’t know how it happened and how long ago it happened (more than likely in the past 12 hours), but I just noticed my cats must have knocked a ziplock bag into my piggies reach and they ate part of the ziplock-all of the top is gone and some other small holes have been ripped into it. I’m not sure how much of top besides the zipper is missing. I have 4 piggies so i can’t 100% tell if they all are pooping still (seems to be though) but everyone is acting normal (wheeking, eating and drinking), should I be like this an emergency and take them the to the vet asap or just keep an eye on them to make sure still eating and drinking and acting normal) and if just watching-how long do I keep an extra eye on them before should be out of the danger zone? Thank you

Hi

Just keep an eye on them for the next day or so. Piggies will often make a beeline for anything plastic whenever they can get at anything; accidents can happen. It doesn't usually cause blockages so I would not worry too much.
