It was so cute I was watching 30 Seconds to Mars's "The Kill" video on my iPad and I wasnt really watching my piggie closely then I suddenly realized she's an inch away from my iPad paying VERY close attention to what what playing ^.^ it might be Jared Leto's face...ah that beautiful man...lmao.

Ok I'll be serius for a moment (lol) then I tried a more colorful video (Taylor Swift's "Mean") and she was even more interested! Is it the colors? Or the sounds? Or the combination? When I turned off the video she immediately turned away from the screen and resumed her "talking" and exploring all over my bed :p

Now the main question lol
If they actually like TV and stuff, what kinda stuff do your piggies seem to prefer? (I'm a new mom, I don't know much)
Share your insights please :))

Awww bless her, I wonder if it was the colours or the sounds? Piggies are very responsive to sounds aren't they. Ours hate bells of any kind and go brrrrrrr when they hear them.

Strangely enough Putt used to come out of her wooden villa whenever Olly Murs was on MTV, his songs always make me think of her. Good job she couldn't use the phone when he was on X-factor she'd have been voting every week :))

Lmao Almost fell off my chair laughing :))
I'm gonna try a range of musicians to find her favorite hehe (its not like I actually have anything better to do lol)

One of my Nan's dogs 'Tammy' used to watch tv. She was a really intelligent dog, she'd sit for hours watching tv and used to sit right in front of it, right in your field of vision so you'd have to say 'Tammy. I can't see' and she'd shuffle back on her bottom.... You used to have to ask her several times until she shuffled back enough so her head wasn't in your line of sight :))

She also used to play hide and seek with me, I'd run off and hide and my Nan would then tell the dog to come and find me after 1 minute, she would hunt all over the house and garden till she found me... Nice memories, Sorry I went totally off topic then.

Try and get a video of your piggie watching her favourite music videos.

Awww how sweet! I always wanted a dog but my mom hates them ( who hates dogs?! @) )
Great about filming her! I'm so gonna do that...my baby's gonna be famous haha

That is so cute.
A while ago when I was still very new to guinea pigs I had rusty on my bed and lillith in their cage and I was listening to different piggy noises on my computer and rusty stopped was she was doing she ran over to the computer and started 'replying' to the noises. It was really cute lol
Cat wait to see a video :3

As far as I know piggies don't see well and also have poor depth perception. But they do have excellent hearing, they do see colours and they react to any movement. So, it could have been the colours or the sounds or movements or any combination thereof on your iPad that attracted your piggy. I know mine like music and they have their own iTunes playlist (because their taste in music is not the same as mine!). My piggies seem interested in cartoons on the telly when my young granddaughter comes over and wants them on the sofa with her while she watches cartoons. Could be the bright colours, silly noises or constant fast movements they like because they completely ignore other telly shows.

I was watching Africa with the pigs out the other night and Hermes suddenly noticed the tv and one point and was looking at it with interest and chatting away to himself. Often I find that typically they do the freeze/vibrate response because they notice the noise/movement and they perceive it as a potential threat so stay still until it's stopped.

Aww. That sounds really cute! Mine squeak when I play recordings of guinea pigs on my phone. :)
