my eldest (and partially blind) pig just sat and stared at the corner of the hutch for over an half an hour before i turned her around. is this normal in older guinea pigs?

This can usually mean they have an illness. Please take them to a vet to see whats wrong.

I always work on the basis that if I am concerned about one of mine I go to the vet,
I’d rather be reassured nothing is wrong than be too late with an issue.
I hope it’s nothing but will keep you in my thoughts

Hi! It is difficult to say whether she was just sleeping or is not well without being able to see or handle other people's piggies.
Cataracts usually don't play any role.

Please switch from the weekly weigh-in to a daily one at the same time. If you are worried, have her vet checked.
