Hey Guys my piggie shed is finally being put up which is excellent. going to have 2/3 rows of piggie cage shelves. will have insulation, oil filled radiator and fans for summer hoping to have fly screens over the window and doors so they can be wide open when i'm around what else will i need do you think? bit worried bout rats having read a few things on here the boys are in indoor cages but the shed is more like another room rather than an actual shed. doors are all locking shall I build little back and sides for the shelves do you think?

I don't know anything about sheds I'm afraid. Just wanted to say a piggy shed is very exciting. :(|)

thanks it is a shed for my brother's muddy outdoor stuff too but OH and I are considering moving him, his bed and office out there and having the pigges in the spare double room :x:)) needs a bit more doing to finish than i thought so may not be able to pick up my new 2 boys on my birthday (Tues) as planned :-( ( but if i work my butt off over the weekend maybe need to do lots!

well structure is all done and dusted now need to get to work on the insulation, shelves, radiators and lights! first thing would be to buy the insulation i think!

That's so exciting!

My dad in converting the shed into a bunny shed in a few weeks. I was going to make piggy shelves in there but I decided to just make the bunny cages bigger and keep the piggies where they are now (outdoor hutches and runs). :(

I'm not allowed buy a second shed for the pigs, but I will probably when I have my own place!

will do if i can work out how. just buying the insulation £33 not bad for 48 meters! reduced from 3 times that PHew!

Well I got all 10 rolls of insulation yesterday and the wood to go over it so i can actullly start to finish the shed! :(|) Sulking *** the board blew off the trolley and totally skinned my ankle though :( anyway back to business does anyone have any suggetions for extras I need yet? ?/

ok well insulation done, walls painted just edging and floor to put down WOOOHOOOOO will post piccies tonight I promise :-) Also weather looks nice and warm so that will help with moving the bubbas out this weekend!

thanks for the advice the shed has insulation which apparently helps keep it cool too will be getting an air con unit too. its stuck between the house and garage walls so doesn't get direct sun maybe a little late morning but it has a porch which stops direct sun getting in the doors side windows are next to the garage so get a little light. have fly screens coming for the doors so i can leave them open.
