does any one know of a savvy vet in/around Swindon Wiltshire.

There is nothing major going wrong at the mo except Marty Pig has a fatty lump and I want to get it checked out to make sure nothing nasty is going on.

He's fine in himself, eating, drinking, pooping and running around in floor time as per usual. Just thought it would be best to get him/them all checked out.

many thanks xx>>>

Just came across this thread - don't know if you have already found a vet near Swindon, but I have a wonderful vet in Melksham. I am moving to Sussex in three months, but I will be coming back if any of the pigs need any major ops as she is fantastic. She doesn't put guineas under anaesthetic for x-rays or dental, she's been great about teaching me how to do things for my pigs (she showed me how to inject my piggy when he was too ill to take meds by mouth). Best guinea vet I've have in ten years. Also, as an added bonus, they charge 'guinea' prices!

The place is called The Beeches and is outside Melksham town centre, and the vet is called Karen Grabham (I think she is a small animal specialist). Just in case you don't find another one :)

If you are moving to Sussex then Alberto and Rob at Seers Croft near Crawley/Horsham are excellent for piggies - particularly knowledgible about piggies and never had a problem with GA's, dentals or surgery (and i have had a lot of all three over the last two years with my herd of 16)
