Has anyone managed to train their piggies to go toilet in a certain area of the cage? I've bought a corner potty for the cage in the hope that they'll learn to use it, therefore making them easier to clean regularly

Does anyone have any tips? I've already put some of their old soiled hay and megazorb in it so that they might catch on...!

Good luck with that one Rebecca. Never managed it myself. lol. xx

Lol oh dear! I can always hope ey?!

The boys are doing splendidly, they're very active now! Piglet (was Nibbles) was very shy and quiet and Tigger (was Caramel) has been very boistrous and brave but are now both currently munching and running around with no worries. They dont like being picked up and are petrified for cuddles but we'll give that time :)
I also can't believe how much Tigger eats, all I can hear from him is constant munching!

I have two areas filled with newpaper, megazorb and hay in their enclosure. I find they do most of their business in there because they like to sleep, eat, wee and poo wherever there is a good supply of hay! I give them fresh hay top up in those places every day and clean them out every second day. They've both got roofs above them too, my piggies love to have things above them. They're a bit like road painting machines as far as poos go though, I haven't been able to train them at all to stop leaving a trail of those behind them! :)

Gertie is fairly littler trained and uses one corner of her cage which we have put a litter tray in, she uses the area in front of it too. When running round the living room she uses her sleepy corner under the coffee table and so we have put a puppy training pad down. There is often poo and wee in her bed though too.

I'm finding mine are tending to do most of their businesses in their houses too. Unless I can fashion a cover for the tray perhaps I may have to relinquish control over this one; let the poo trails continue!
