Recently my guinea pig Chewie got his head stuck in the window of his house will running around his cage, it was a tight fit snd he was jumping around and trying to get out but couldn't. After a few minutes of effort we got him out and he was reasonably shocked and very jumpy however me and my family thought he would be OK after a few days. However the next day (the day I'm writing this) I an almost certain that he had a spinal or neck injury as he can't use his back legs and can't raise his head, he also is constantly twitching and jolting. I would love to be able to bring him to a vet however they are too overpriced and I am not sure whether he can recover from this or if euthanasia is the best option. I would really appreciate some advice from kore experienced piggies owners on whether or not my little man can recover. Thank you all so much.

Some vets can offer you a payment plan. He will definitely need some pain relief at least.

You say he can’t lift his head or use his back legs. When did he last eat/drink?

Poor boy! Please, check if you're eligible to use PDSA. They offer vet treatment for people in financial need. If all fails, you can surrender him to ISPCA so he's seen by a vet and treated. Either way, he must be in pain and probably swollen and sore. They're fragile creatures.

I’m so sorry to hear this.

He must see a vet urgently. Leaving him without vet care is not an option. Or as suggested surrendering him as an emergency so he can be seen by a vet today.

We can’t say whether there is anything they can do to help him, it’s for the vet to decide, but our emergency care guide is added below

Emergency and Crisis Care as well as Bridging Care until a Vet Appointment

I have been trying to syringe feed him so he's been drinking a lot but I can't get food through the syringe

What food are you using? Is it proper critical care or the emergency alternative of mushed pellets?

If the pellets, then you need to cut the tapered end off of the syringe. Pellet mush is too coarse to go through without the end cut off.

Either way, he needs a vet urgently.

Sorry but he really needs to see a vet NOW. He could be suffering and in pain, you have a responsibility to him.
Call your vet and explain.

So sorry that you are in this position but all the advice you have been given is spot on.
It’s going to be a difficult decision for you so all I can offer is support
