For some backstory, my little guy managed to break one of his bottom teeth last year, and it never ended up growing back. A few months ago, he managed to break his other bottom tooth, leading to a ton of vet visits and issues with eating solids. Thankfully, after a month or so, we noticed a tooth growing back, and we hoped that'd be the end of the tooth havoc. But lately, he's been struggling a little bit to eat hard foods (ex. carrots or treats), and when he chitters he makes this awful crunch/cracking sound instead of what sound should be made. I've been hoping that the reason for it is just his teeth growing back weirdly, and that it'd sort itself out, but it's gotten to a point where I think it's far beyond the point of resolving itself. I'm not even sure how to describe it.

It's so oddly "doubled up" and just in general strange. I'm not sure what it is - if it's like a tooth growing through his tooth or just one tooth growing back strangely - but I can't imagine it's comfortable. If anyone has any idea what this is, I'd love some advice. We're planning on bringing him to the vet next week. Thank you :)

Hi, it may be a thickened incisor. My late Edward had one last summer. It sadly caused him great pain and he needed it filed down @weepweeps piggy had a tooth that grew back weird so perhaps can advise and @furryfriends (TEAS) is our dental expert. I’d have him seen by your vet asap if he isn’t able to eat solids and making crunching noises as he could be in pain with it.

In the meantime, weigh him daily and if he’s losing weight, you will need to syringe feed him x
