Ok that sounds odd lol

Please please please can people post pics of their sheds/garages/houses or even outside spaces that have a fair few piggies in. This could be anything from 4/5 pigs +

I'm currently making plans for building hutch type enclosures into my shed and I'm wondering how people make the best of their space. Its going to fill the back wall + one side . its going to have my 8 piggies, oh's 3 piggies and possibly my rabbit ?/. I have spent ages trauling boarding websites for their accomodation pix but they all have spent ALOT of money. I would apprieciate any pics.

So calling any piggy mad people, rescues, fosterers ect.. :)):)):))

THANKYOU x)

Girl's table - approx 8ft x 3ft, can be divided into four sections. In 2 sections at the mo for a trio and a quad.

Girl's block - 4ft x 2ft, can be divided to allow singles to meet through the wire (top cage). Mum and 2 babies bottom cage. I have a similar block for the boys to bond in.

Bonded boys' cages, once bonded and ready for rehoming the boys move into their own hutch which is narrower than the bonding cages and if the bond remains strong in these cages it rarely breaks down after rehoming.

This is just the summer housing - they all move into my conservatory for the winter as it has central heating and I spend most of my day with them. None of us like the cold!

Hope this helps

Suzy, if you read this, can I ask you about the pen in the first pic, how high does the wire go? I'm building a kind of cage like that for my pigs. :)

Hi CP, the girl's table sides are about 12" high, I used contiboard (white-faced particle board) from B&Q - it's scrubbable and easy to screw into. The table top is an old school chemistry bench - topped with formica. I could send more detailed pics if you like.

I made a smaller version with a flat interior (sapele) door as the base with lino as the flooring - so it was 6ft 6" x 30".

I have them on sturdy metal table frames so have plenty of storage underneath.

This is where our piggies live. We have 6 at the top and could fit another 6 at the bottom x)

I have 14 pigs living in hutches in their shed.
Top 2 hutches are 5ft x 2ft with my boy pair on the left, my girl pair on the right.
Bottom hutch (no longer divided) is 10ft x 21" & now has my trio in.

The top hutch is 12ft x 2ft & has my group of 7 in.
The bottom is 6ft x 2ft & is the rabbits' who free-range in the whole of the shed but their hutch houses their water bottles & litter trays.

This is my shed hutches are 4.1 foot smaller ones are 3 foot. I want my lovely boyfriend to insalate it before the winter. Last winter was so cold the bottles would freeze. I put woolen blankets over each cage along with one big blanket to cover all of them.

My foster rabbits are now what it looks like my new additions are in a indoor hutch. They need a bigger hutch before they out grow this one. So my boyfriend is gonna put all built in hutches in the shed for me with deviders so the lone piggys can see each other. I have 7 guinea pigs and 4rabbits. :{

when keeping your guineas in your shed do you find you get mice?

when my guineas were in my shed before i had my out house done up i got mice all the time in the shed i got that bad with a phobia that o/h had to go in first:...:...:...

Hi
I saw a specific 'rabbit/guinea pig/ hen' shed for sale on eBay. It was great and such a clever design. You could choose your own size and hutch arrangements. I gather you already have the shed but it is worth seeing to see if you could copy the design. It was made by an animal housing company in Darwin. I'll see if I can find the details for you.

I've had a mouse problem once in 5 years & it was resolved by bringing the pigs in, once they realised there was no more food available they moved on :)

Omg

OMG I'm soo not letting Nibbles and Nutty get a look at this! I don't want them getting ideas that a pets@home cage isn't big enough! They do have a hutch we like to call their country cottage but they can only use it in the summer because it gets to cold out there for them.
