I’m moving house! My pigs will have around two hours travelling to their new home in the car with us. They have a small pet carrier but I’m wondering if I should get a bigger one since they’ll be in it for a little while especially as I get their cage set back up!

I have a carrier that opens on top rather than having a door in one end. I think it is better, as it's less stressful to catch them from, and there's less chance of them jumping out when you open it. I've attached a photo of a similar one.

With some towels and blankets and hay, they are quite content in this. It doesn't give them much room to move, but they don't want that when travelling. They want a cosy dark space to cuddle up in.

Here is the photo
That’s the one I use.
When we moved house there were 3 piggies in it for about 5 hours.
We stopped regularly to give them a break and a small cucumber chunk.
They were fine.
I often transport 3 piggies when we take them away with us, a journey of about 2.5 - 3 hours.

Hope the house move goes well and you are very happy in your new home.
