I thought I'd share these pictures for anyone who has an interest in piggy health and illnesses, like me.

Peri had a sebaceous cyst on her back. She had it when I adopted her a year ago, and it's grown ever so slightly so Simon said he'd remove it when he was whipping the other one out. It was about the size of a pea. I always thought it was a fairly solid lump, possibly an abscess pocket that had hardened, but Simon gave it a squeeze and icky stuff came out! Blurgh!

The second lump was far more sinister feeling. It was under her arm, in the region where the lymphnodes are, and was quite large and solid. The fact that it was solid was what made both myself and Simon think it could be a cancerous tumour. Although most of it was mobile, I could feel some attachment. It was roughly the size of a large grape.

The growth, roughly the size of a grape. The darker region was fairly solid while the white bit felt like a deflating balloon - I'm wondering whether this is perhaps the actual lymphnode? Or a mammary gland? I wasn't able to ask Simon!

Peri in her snuggy. The large growth was removed from her armpit.

That's ghoulishly fascinating - I've never got to see what has been removed from my piggies. That was one heck of a large sized growth, I'm sure Peri will feel better without that to contend with.

Sending lots of love to your little one x
