She's not really a problem when she's on her own, in fact she's lovely to handle, but once again I tried her out in my big run with my pair of older girls, and Peppa is a little monster, the older girls ignored her, and she bullied poor Daisy into submission, which I expected, but then picked a fight with Lulu, who is the dominant one in the pair and put a hole in Lulu's shoulder. This is all after them being side by side, and chatting away nicely.

Now I've seen her in action there is no way she's going back in with them, so my question is this:

Has anybody on the forum managed to pair up a fighter sow with another sow, and if so what type of temprement was the other sow? Also does anybody have single sows because they have same behaviour issues as Peppa? I'm a bit reluctant to have one of my single boys neutered, then to have her be a monster with him.

I don't really trust her with another guinea pig at all. In 20 years of keeping piggies I have never seen the shrimp kick fight and don't ever want to see it again. Boys are far more predictable when it comes to fighting and give you chance to split them up before it gets to that stage.

She really is a nasty little pasty, I've never seen behaviour from a sow like it, I know now why she was on preloved, just wish the previous owner had warned me.

How about pairing her with a neutered boar? That sounds much more likely than another sow?

So sorry to hear that PeppaPig is not getting on with your sows. If you are not keen to get one of your boys neutered could you maybe adopt a neutered boar? The rescue could help you find one that suits her?

I think this is the best idea then she can meet the piggy before he comes home to stay :).

The problem being that the neutered boars in my area all seem to be happily married at the minute, my local rescue are aware that I'm looking for one so it may just be a waiting game.

Thanks for your replys.:))

She sounds like a little madam indeed I hope a handsome gentleman will sort her out :))!

I may have the same issue as you next week, we have a large herd of girls with a lovely neutered boar in with them to keep them inline. However Bee our new rescue pig is due to be introduced to them when her babies are weaned next week. In the past she has not wanted to be around other sows but this may have been because she was expecting. At the moment we are keeping our fingers crossed that it goes ok!
