I'm planning on doing a housing project which inclues measuring out cage sizes etc i wont go into to much detail atm.

So anyone outside of the uk can you tell me the rough cage guidelines for your country from : The animal welfare group ( eg RSPCA ) A bad pet shop ( eg Pets at home ) A good pet shop ( eg Pets corner )

Eg of a form.

Country - England

RSPCA ( Welfare Group ) 120 x 60
Pets At Home ( Bad Shop ) 100 x 60
Pets Corner ( Good Shop ) 120 x 45

Thanks guys :)

Also if scotland, wales and ireland rules are different please correct me :)

The Project starts tommorow so any answers welcome :) panicking now !

sounds like a good plan, My local pet shop recommends you have a 140x80 for 1 guinea pig, I'm also in UK

Hi!

Not quite sure if this is what you want but I live in South Korea, and animal rights isn't as important to many here.

An animal rights group is: KARA (Korea Animal Rights Advocates) but i'm not sure what there thoughts are on Guinea Pigs, the focus seems to be dogs.

Emart: This is where I got my boys from, it's basically a supermarket with a tiny pet aisle where you can buy all sorts, so I rescued my boys. There are other shops such as HomePlus (a branch of Tesco!) all of whom think a standard cage of I think 14' x 22' is big enough (they all seemed completely confused when I said I was building a large home for them, lol.

I know it's not as detailed as perhaps you were looking for, but that should show you how lack animal rules are here :-/
