Pellets

Hi everyone. I usually buy my boys HayBox pellets when I buy their hay. But I’m running low on their pellets and don’t need more hay yet.

What are the next best pellets to get? I hope I can get them at the local pet shop and not online.

Will it upset their tummies if I give them different pellets? Thanks everyone

You are supposed to change pellets slowly so as to not cause digestive issues - but not every piggy is going to be affected by a sudden change.

Are you close to needing more hay? If you are then you could always just go without pellets until you need more hay.

If not, then any commercial pellet which is grass/Timothy based is best and ideally one which does not contain alfalfa

Thanks @Piggies&buns. No I’ve got about 10kg left. Hmm I could get more hay early and store it in the garage or get pellets from the local pet shop.

I do have a local family run pet shop I could try. I get their bedding hay from them. I’ll see what they sell.
