Pee Resistant Pads

Hi all,

I am going to take a stab (probably literally) at making some fleece pee resistant pads as ive just spent a fortune for some off ebay for piggies xmas present and thought sewing some would be cheaper. Problem is I cant find an Australian equivalent to this "Zorb" product you guys get in the UK. Is there anything I can use instead for the inner? I'm so not crafty so I will probably end up sewing my finger to the pads lol so wish me luck.
 
Well if your fingers are pee resistant, that might be ok :))
 
Yes the piggies do love a lap to pee on. I like to think they loooooove me so much they don't want me to be cold so they pee on me to make me warmer lol.
 
Fleece and a nice thick towel works for me! You could do fleece, towel, waterproof layer or just fleece, towel, fleece to make it reversible. If you have a decent towel for absorbing it won't go through :)
 
I second the towel as an inner.
Mine have fleece, then towel, then a final fleece layer.
I did make some with a final layer of waterproof pul, but found it wasn't really necessary.

Interesting thread. I have a mattress protector and some zorb. I may just get a towel or two as well. Going to be busy sewing once I learn how to thread my machine!
