My piggies peed on the side of the cage and it was orange(ish) in color. (cannot provide picture sorry 🙁)
When I wiped it with paper towel, it looked yellow. Is that normal? I used to have a hamster, and the pee was similar. Her pee was white but when you wiped it it was kind of yellow.

Also, when they pee on their potty it is yellow. Whenever they pee on the side it looks orange(ish). How come the color is different when I wipe it and before I wipe it>?

Fluids will look different when they are in concentrated droplet form than a more spread out absorbed form. You can try this out with some liquid food coloring ... take a drop of any color (yellow, if you like) and put it on a solid (non-staining) surface, then wipe it up. See how the color changes. Try dripping it on some litter ... etc. Basically, when you are absorbing the liquid, you are forcing it to take up more space, which spreads out the color, thus making it lighter.

Urine oxidises when it hits the air. Hence the orange/brown colour. Sounds like normal wee.
