Hello everyone :)
I went out to Wilko today and picked up a guinea pig treat/toy. It's a gnaw log and I thought it looked good and the type of 'wood' they used is loved my my piggies. So, I picked one up. However, once I got home, I realised it was peanut butter flavoured. Now, I know piggies aren't allowed peanut butter but what about peanut butter flavoured things? Will my piggies be okay if they have it? The link to this treat/toy is Wilko Small Animal Edible Treat and Gnaw Log Large | page.titleSuffix
Thank you :)

I wouldn’t give it to the piggies to be honest, whether peanut butter or just flavoured. What are the ingredients?

PS a good old cardboard box is a good chew toy.

The ingredients for the wooden log are- Edible wood, vegetable starch, vegetable glycerin, alfalfa.
The ingredients for the filling are- Wheat, Milo, vegetable starch, buckwheat, oat groats, maltose syrup, carrot(3.5%), vegetable glycerin, flax seed, corn oil, apple(1.3%) and canary grass seed.

I have a few cardboard boxes, however I'm not sure which ones are safe. Some have ink on and I'm not sure whether it is toxic or not, is there a way of knowing if a cardboard box is safe?
- thank you :)

I think your best bet is plain brown boxes, I see a lot of amazon boxes with packing tape removed or cereal/wine boxes :)

Wine boxes are ok - they have printed stuff on them but they’re fine. Any tape should be removed from boxes.
