Pea pods

Can guinea pigs eat pea pods with the peas inside ? I got some today gave my 3 piggies one each and they loved them but then when looking on Google about piggie veg, it said they shouldn't have pea pods.
 
@Leanne78 Most people eat thebpeas themselves and feed the pigs the pods only.

To be honest I've never tried my pigs with them but they have eaten sugar snap peas and runner beans.
 
Mine love sugar snap peas and mange tout and they are basically peas in pods.
 
Thank you for your replies. May get some runner beans for them too, try g to get some different veg into their diets x
 
Mine aren’t keen on them but then again they turn their noses up at most things if it’s not presented as their ladyships wish! Unless it’s hay and they just like that in a great big pile!
 
Mine wont eat pea pods or mangetout but if they did I would let them have some! Pea pods get removed from the food dish and hidden in the toilet tray with the strawberries and orange peppers they dont like :)

Mine love sugar snap peas but mange tout depends on which day it is whether they like it or not.
Gave them pak choi yesterday which had joined the 'we don't like this' list.
It's back on the 'this our favourite food' list.

It's interesting seeing how my newbies Priscilla and Phoebe are learning to eat a wider variety of veggies as they see Jemimah and Merab stuffing themselves with whatever is put in the cage.
 
Mine haven’t had them. But they have had mange tout which they enjoyed. And sugar snap peas went down well too.
 
Mine love pea pods. I mostly give them during nail clipping sessions as they don't eat them as fast as other veg. Poppy eating leafy greens is amazing to watch...I'm sure she inhales them!
