Hi! I got 3 guinea pigs in July and this is my first time owning any pigs. I noticed this little red part under one of my piggies eye and I was just wondering if it was pea/fatty eye. It is only on the one side and it has not effected her eating, sleeping, or playing with her sisters. There is no discharge coming from her eye and there is no cloudiness in her eye either. I am only 19 and do not make a lot of money to take her to the vet super often so if someone can confirm that this is fatty/pea eye it would be much appreciated! :)

Hi

Please have him vet checked for a potential conjunctivitis or other potential other infection that can affect the conjunctiva. What you are seeing is the result of it being a bit swollen.

Fatty/pea eye is when the back end of the lower lid falls away from the eyeball and exposed a healthy conjunctiva. It is basically in a different place and the conjunctiva should be pink.
It's not the best picture but my Tesni did have a fatty eye:

I would definitely bring him to the vet! Good luck!
