Paw swelling in senior pig

My 5 y/o sow has a badly swollen front paw. We have been watching it for a few weeks now and it has not gotten worse nor better but today I noticed a very slight increase of swelling. At the beginning of this she was given a course of Baytril for a minor respitory issue (cleared up) and it had no effect on the paw. No limping/lethargy and acting normal, but shows signs of pain when foot is squeezed (not suprising). We have put her on an anti-inflammatory/pain med that was used before with this pig as I don't want her to suffer, but she isn't showing signs of pain in everyday life.
I am a minor and asked to see the vet for this pig multiple times now for this but have been denied as my guardian thinks this is an issue that will clear up but I am in doubt. She did say if it was necessary she would take her immediately so I do think she will if it comes to that. Yes, our family has money for this and we have spent on this pig before, so the vet is not an issue if she needs it. If you guys think she does (like me) I can show her this thread and I am sure she will take her.
I am wondering if this pig will be able to recover due to age and she has bee through a lot of health issues already, but we will try if there is a decent chance.
Any advice/opinions appreciated.

Hello. I agree with you that a trip to the vet would be the best course of action. It’s better to get the right course of treatment rather than trying different things yourselves. Sounds like she’s had it a little while now and if it’s not cleared up yet then it’s not going to. I’d its sore to the touch she’ll definitely need some painkillers. Could you post a photo of it here? Then someone could see if it looks like something they have gone through with their own piggy. Best of luck.
