Hi, I wanted to know if it's ok for me to paint in the same room as my guinea pig. My room is pretty small and I keep the windows closed because its the winter, so I'm afraid the smell would be dangerous. I use just regular craft smart matte acrylic paint, would that be safe to use around him?
Thanks!

I would not risk it. Piggies have very sensitive airways And sense of smell.
Its advised to always remove them from the room, paint and then air the room out before putting piggies back into the room.

If you can smell it then he can smell it much stronger. Even if it doesn't harm him he won't be able to move away from the pong which might upset him.
(I see there are two in your picture but you only mention your boy. I'm sorry if you've lost one x)

Hi

If at all possible, please remove your piggies from a room you are painting in and if needed keep them in a carrier for the time being. Always have the window open when you paint. Turn off the heating in the room while you have the window open and close the door to the rest of the lodgings.
Water soluble paints will dry pretty quickly these days. Guinea pig airways are a lot smaller and more sensitive than ours.

The ones you definitely need to remove your piggies from the room are oil based paints.
