Painting the Guinea pig room

Hi all!

I’m after some advice.

I want to paint the spare room where my guineas are kept, it’s looking shabby and I’m desperate to make it look lovely for them!

Question is, if I use a water based matte paint, how quickly can they move back in?

Having 8 of them it’s going to be tricky to keep them out for any length of time

You will need to leave the windows open while you paint and for several hours after - you ideally want the paint dry and most of the smell gone before the piggies go back in. Water based points are less of an issue and tend to dry and the smell clear quite quickly (it’s any gloss which is a more of an issue).
