About 3 days ago, me and my husband painted a headboard with OIL BASED paint , and it’s been airing out since.

is that too soon to put it in the same room as my piggy ? Should I wait awhile longer just to be safe ?

I recently painted something my piggies would be in contact with, in a water based paint and felt it needed a week. The guy at the shop said it would be 2 weeks before it was completely hardened. However i couldn't say about oil based. Someone else may come along who knows.

They don’t physically come in contact with it. It’s on the other side of the room they never touch, but I’m worried about the smell. It’s mostly gone, but had a small hint , not much really only as you walk in. Then nothing at all. I just want to make sure it won’t hurt them.

They’re sense of smell is more sensitive than ours so I think if you can still catch a hint it may be better to wait a little longer.
