Hi guys, my guinea pig devito is on an antibiotics sulfatrim for a chest infection. It's his third go on it and it's finally clearing by the sounds of his wheeze.
I noticed last night he done a painful squeak and looked constipated. I looked around after he pooped and found nothing.

He done it again tonight and I found something. It looks like yoghurt consistency, and it's white. I'll attach a picture.
I'm thinking a UTI? I looked around his bum and inside, didn't find anything too concerning but his squeaks sounded like he may of been sore or a bit tinder. I looked at his penis also and didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

His brother just passed on Thursday. He seems to be doing okay all things considered. A bit quiet but still eating away, and today he came out to greet me and has been exploring a bit more.

Any ideas?

Hi, I’m very sorry for your loss 😞 It looks like it could be either a build up of calcium or bladder sludge in your remaining piggy? I would have him seen by your vet. Do you feed a lot of calcium rich veg? If so, may be review your diet. Do you filter the drinking water? This is recommended especially if you live in a hard water area. Also, pellets should be fed at one tablespoon a day per pig

Thank you so much for your response. His diet hasn't changed at all, but I'll cut back on calcium heavy veg. He's been getting extra fruits because they're his favourite and he's been sad and sick and I'm a sop lol. He never really eats his pellets. Thank you for your response x

Too much fruit has the potential to upset the gut.
I know it’s tempting to spoil them, particularly when unwell, but overdoing the fruit can make things worse.
