I saw these lovely items in Asda this afternoon and just couldn't resist buying them for the boys. I thought I'd do an under the sea theme in the near future.

The pink duster thingy is going to be some seaweed/coral reef which they can sit on. :)

I didn't realise that the turtle dog toy has a squeaker in it, so might have to remove that first. Also the seahorse cushion is wipe clean only, so I think that'll be for decoration purposes only, but we'll see. :))

Has anyone else done a cage theme? If so please share your
photos, I love to see what everyone has done for their piggies :D

We have a cage theme.
It's fondly known as the 'chaotic look with a hint of poo'.
My wonderful guinea pigs (trained in interior design) achieve this by throwing hay everywhere, upending food bowls, and spreading poops all over the cage.

Needless to say I am just a tad envious of your themed idea which looks amazing. Love the pink duster thingy idea :D

We had a Beach Hut theme (possibly make out from my profile pigture)
Had bamboo balconies, beach background murals and a thatched roof :) Lots of little palm trees from ebay dotted around but out of reach of teeth !
Loved it but we moved - the piggles have a larger set up now with bunting to match the seasons :))
Christmas is lovely here for them, go a bit overboard with their decor :inn:

Hehee this made me laugh, that's what the boys cage looks like every morning when I come downstairs. They also like to go the extra mile by tipping their strawberry beds over and weeing all over the fabric so that Mummy gets a lovely wet hand when she picks the beds up. Thanks boys! :vom: Paddy is murder for moving the furniture around the cage, he likes to have it his way and nothing else will do. :))

I've seen lots of piggy owners overseas using those duster thingies in their piggies cages and the piggies seem to love lounging on them. So I thought I'd try one with my boys and see what they made of it, if they start chewing it then it'll be removed, but given how much my boys love their soft toys and lounging about, I'm hoping it'll be spared.

That sounds amazing, what a great idea! :D I've taken the boys spring bunting down now as I thought I might print some tiki heads off and make some paper bunting out of those for summer, but I'm not sure as that's a lot of effort LOL. XD Thanks for sharing! :)

That fleece is gorgeous! I might take a trip to Asda tomorrow and look for them.

Bet their under the sea theme will look fab :D

They had a really good selection in Asda, I wanted to buy them all but had to restrain myself. They had: Mermaids, Butterflies, Peppa Pig, Dinosaurs, Road Map, Action Heroes, Jungle/Safari, Owls, Pirates,
And Bugs.

The Range also had some lovely fleeces in their homeware section in loads of different styles and colours, they can be just a tad more expensive at times.

Oooh how lovely! I need to stock up on some fleece ready to make liners for the herds new C&C cage. I like the sound of butterfly's and owls! :)

Ohh, I like the sound of dinosaurs and owls and will be back in the UK in a couple of weeks......
Hmm, might have to pack light on the way over!

And @Drezella I have a question.
I love the idea of the duster as a sort of cushion, but would you sew the end closed first or just put it in like it is?
One of my girls is obsessed with cramming herself into small spaces, and I would be worried she would try and climb in and get stuck!

:D I can't wait to see the end result! You are so clever with this sort of thing!

Aww thanks, that's a lovely thing to say. I'll see what I can come up with. It might be a while yet as I'll have to wick the fleece and I thought I'd buy some fish themed beds when I've got some pennies. Wish I was better at sewing then could try and make my own :)

Your themes are Amazing! Cannot wait to see how this pans out in cage
