Hi there!

I was wondering if it's possible to give the adult pellets to those younger than six months? Or if I had to feed them the young ones?

I have five piggies (a group of three and a pair) that I hope to introduce soon. The group of three are almost 4 months - though they were unsure of their ages so I am worried about them being slightly older and not having a huge indication of when to stop them with the younger pellets. The pair are 9 weeks, so I also have the worry of once introduced, I would need to put them on the adult if the other three are as it would be hard to split and make sure only those two eat the young. :o

Disclaimer I am no expert but

Ignore my first post it posted before I could finish. I was going to say...Disclaimer, I'm no expert but I wouldn't worry too much about the young vs adult formula. My guineapigs are 2-3 months and I was at first having problems with them not eating pellets. I asked my vet if I could try mixing the adult and young piggie formula and she said that would be fine. She said the difference between the two is mostly the young formula has more protein for growing piggies. When I mixed the two they started eating it, I must just have picky pigs. Anyways...I'm sure it's fine if my vet was cool with it.
