i recently built a run for my pigs to play in outside. i put in some tunnels and shelters as well as some hay, veggies and a water bottle. when i put my pigs on the grass they don't move. they don't seem to be in shock and they move when i nudge their bums (i have to be firmer than usual though). they won't eat the grass, hay or veggies. i could put them in the open space and they wouldn't move unless nudged. after that, they find a shelter or tunnel and stay in there.
are they just scared and need to get used to it? this was their first few times outside (for 2 hours each time).
i'm not sure what to do to encourage them. the only real activity they do is wander a little towards my dog and sniff her nose when shes very close to them

My three were like that the first few times I put them out,but they love it now. As long as they are not stressed I would try a few more times and see if they get used to it. Mine still disappear into a hidey if there's a noise or movement they're not sure of, and when they've gorged on the grass they also coorie up in a hidey. Grass time is actually the only time they all go in one hidey without bickering.

It sounds like you have done everything right - it just takes time.
I don't think my lot moved out of their houses when they were on the lawn for at least a couple of months.
Keep giving the regular lawn time when the weather allows, cover at least 50% of the run with a sheet so they feel safe, and they will come out eventually!
