Hi, I've just this week got my new pig called Pebbles and he is living with FIFi (my other pig toffee died a couple of weeks ago) they seem to be getting on fine, but they just don't seem to be coming out of the bed area/upstairs area, I've put the food up there cos its' cold, but they don't come down the ramp into the run area at all. I don't get any squeaking and haven't seem a popcorn for ages.

Do you think it's cos of the horrible cold weather we are having here, and if they don't have to move far they wont, the bedding area is filled to the top with hay. I just miss the squeaking at me for the veggies , I know the new one prob will take a while to settle in but I've had Fifi for 18 months, but then again does she need to squeak if I put it by her bed twice a day.

Anybody got any thoughts. Don't like having quiet pigs.

seems like youve come up with all the possible reasons why they arent squeaking/popcorning already ;D

Could be the cold weather, could be that they get breakfast in bed and dont need to move ;D or could be just that they want a lie in for a change ~ I'm sure theyll soon be running around mad in the summer :smitten:

Thankyou for that! :D I'll just have to take each day as it comes, might even lift them down tomorrow if we have a bit of sunshine and feed them by hand see if the liven up a little bit!

i'd say it was the cold weather too, your new piggy might be feeling extra cold if it has been indoors at a pet shop?
