This will be the first Summer that I've had my boys. They are indoor piggies at the moment, but I plan to house them outside during the day in the Summer (and still bring them indoors at night). I'm planning on buying a 2 storey hutch (living area at the top and built in run at the bottom). They're likely to be going out in the mornings before I go to work, and I'm wondering about them going down the cage ramp and sitting on the damp grass. Even in the warm summer the grass is still wet with dew in the mornings. I'm worried about them getting urine infections etc. Can anyone give any advice on how to avoid this? Also, any bright ideas on how to stop slugs sliding through the cage mesh in the Spring? Yeucchhh!
