I have always kept my spoiled piggies indoors. However, I am rehoming a baby girl piggie (and desperately looking for a girl to put with her). I have no space indoors but have acquired a 4 foot hutch from freecycle. It has been cleaned twice and left to dry outside. I have put it in a sheltered bit of my garden right next to the house. It has a tarpaulin over the top which can be fixed so it doesnt blow about. I was going to put a plastic greenhouse round the hutch but it just isnt practical. Are they going to be warm enough?
I attach a picture of the hutch. Underneath is a smaller hutch which fits in my porch just before you go in the garden! Hubby has agreed that when it is really cold they can go in there over night or if it is snowing. What do you think?

If its short term then yes, mine are currently outside and have tarpaulin over them, mine have plenty of hay to snuggle in as well as hideyholes. If its gonna be longer then I suggest snuggle pads and duvet cover / hutch cover.

do you know I am so slow. Just remembered I have a 3foot indoor cage with a upper floor. Unsure of make, I got it from freecycle again. I can always use that in back bedroom. The piggies cant make any more mess than the gerbils that are in there. Just will need to rearrange a bit...
