I would say a 5 foot hutch as an absolute minimum size. Have a look here though, advises on sizes well:

ive got a 4 ft single story which i used to have a rabbit in
so was think of selling n gettin a bigger for the 3
untill i can get a shed for the winter for then
so i put them in the hutch for now for a few hours on a warmer day to get them used to being outside?
i would love a double story with one of thos pointy sloped roofs and I'm currently looking at some on ebay
