Outdoor Runs

hi there. I'm looking for recommendations for a run the piggies can be in outside unsupervised- not for long periods of time, but just 30/60 minutes without me having to sit right by them. Currently we have one of those hexagonal pens which doesn't have a secure lid.

Even better if its folding!

I used to have this one, sold it as my girls hate the outdoors!

It's a lot larger than it looks from the photo and folds down flat although you do have to take out a screw or 2 to do so,

I kow these runs are pricey - but I've had mine 2 years now - and they're as good as new. Great customer service too !

I use the Medium Folding Run from www.rabbit-hutches.co.uk and I think it's really brilliant. Two sides concertina for storage and the roof (separate) has metal 'braces' to stop the folding sides from collapsing if the run is hit by an errant dog/lawn mower etc. The roof attaches with a mechanism I can't really explain, but it's very secure. There is a side door with a proper bolt but in thinking of screwing it perminantly shut!

I had an escapee from an apex run and a very stress full time trying to recapture Peanut twice. I now have a folding run with folding lid. Much more secure and easier to use a carrier to put them in and out.
