Hi you clever people I need your brains. :))

I have buns and piggies

2 bonded pairs and a single buns

A trio of girl piggies
A single neutered male
3 pairs of brothers
A pair of boys
2 neutered boy/girl pairs

I now have a 8ft x 5ft shed which is at the moment being insulated on the floor and ceiling and then will have heating and light.

My indoor and out door buns and piggies will hopefully be moving into their here is where I need your help..... how many of you have both and how did you do your set up?

Any help/advice and pics would be really useful.

Thank you all xoxoxoxo

I dont have both, but i would suggest some built in hutch type things as this would be the only real way to fit them all in.

Can I ask why the neutered male is on his ownsome? Have you thought of introducing him to the trio of girls. (I'm not suggesting you do this willy nilly or anything, just something to consider)

I hope you are not housing your bun with your pigs. An accidental kick or thump from the bun could kill or seriously injure the pig.

Sorry I don't have an answer for an outdoor housing. All mine are inside.

The only way I could think of would be to have a wall of piggies and a wall of rabbits. Probably in an L shape to allow for the hutches to open. If you had them down either side, it would only leave you with a gap of 1ft in the middle and this wouldn't be enough. I had a 4 x 2 ft hutch in a 6 x 4 shed for part of last winter and it was a nightmare to clean out.

You could have them stacked three, or possibly four high. So kinda like double hutches (but without the ramps). I would recommend having doors which close in the centre of the hutch, rather than lift of fronts. The lift off front on our old hutch drove me mad!

Good luck!

I have my hutches in a L shape in my shed. My shed is 8 x 6 I would have hutches on top of each other to house them. I would have the bunnies on the longest side of the shed as they require a larger hutch then the pigs they will also need more hight to be able to sit up and have a look about. Then have you pigs on the sorter side. You should be able to get quite afew guinea pig cages on top of each other as they dont need as much head hight. What size hutches do you have now? are you planning on using them or buying new ones? :)

Yes I have thought about it he had his op about 3wks ago so I'm going to give it another 3 and then try. I'm about worried though. But I'm sure it will be fine. x

Heck NO! They don't have the same needs and only a twit would think it was a good idea.

Thank you. At the mo my out door piggies have 5ft hutches and the indoor have 4ft cages.

The buns have 8ft each with the single dwarf in a 5ft they are all indoors.

Just hope I can replicate some how. :{

Thanks Squeek. I am hoping to use the hutches I have as they have a built in house which is half the hutch height and enjoy jumping on top of it. I wouldn't mind changing the hutches but can't afford it straight off.

I have quite big hutches (sizes in previous answer).

I do have a lot of c & c panels I could use though but don't have the corex.

I have 2 buns that have free run of the shed. I also have a hutch in there which my piggies are in. The hutch is high off the ground so that the bunnies can still have floor space. :)

I would love my buns to have free rein but they would all need bonding into a group of 5 and although I have bonded pairs that task is a huge job I wouldn't dream of undertaking. :...

I don't have any genius ideas to share (it's too cold for genius ideas :{), but I just wanted to say hats off to you - you've certainly got your work cut out with all your buns and piggies! LOL! :))

Good luck with bonding your castrated boar with the girlies.

How tall is your shed? I am I reading the list right? Seems like you need 8 cages for the pigs and 3 cages for the buns?

Are you planning to use your current hutches in the shed or build all new ones to fit the space?

I don't mind building new ones or using the ones I have depends how much room I will have for the buns to roam. :)
