Our new House member always a sleep

We got our new Home Member yesterday and she has settled in well but she has been asleep almost all the time since we got her.

Is this Normal for Guinea pigs?

How much do they sleep and do they sleep during the day and awake at night?

I could have gone either in behaviour or health/illness.

It takes time for a new piggy to get its bearings. In that time, they will often hide away.

Is she an only piggy? She may profit from company; guinea pigs are social animals and should be kept with another of their kind.

It is a good sign that she is relaxed enough to sleep but too much sleep may just mean she was a bit unsettled with the move. Usually mine nap during the day and sleep for most of the night.
