Well my mom has 1 female pig and i got 2 boars and the female still lives alone, in her cage, but I'm worried about her behaviour, she's very skittish and distant, unlike my adult boar, hes extremely friendly and outgoing, does she need a friend??/ my mom says that is just her personality but I'm not really convinced i think she feels lonely and she needs more attention, my mom only takes her out for an hour or less but she always keeps her wrapped in a towel and doesn't really lets her walk around to stretch her legs, D: I'm worried about her, what can i do? :... Then she tells ME than I'm the bad owner O_O

my mum is the same, some times there is nothing we can say to help a piggy out :( ill suggest sneaking a soft toy in there for the piggy to suggle with

I think females need company more so than males who appear to be quite independent sometimes. Yes I would try and persuade your mum that this girl needs a friend, poor thing x

She definatly needs a companion and a nice big cage with lots of fun things in too. Have a look into a rescue close by, they should be able to help you pair her with another sow or a neutered boar.

x.

I know you shouldn't be picky but if a rescue has a friendly neutered boar I think that would be the best option, as they sometimes bring out the best in shy guinea pigs. My Annie is 100x more confident now she lives with a neutered boar, before she didn't come out to see me.
