Can pigs eat oranges?
I don't give them to the pigs as I assumed they were too acidic and they would get those little mouth sores.

Everytime I eat an orange though the pigs go nuts. They get really excited and run around trying to find them. I let them see one up close and they clearly would have devoured it.

Yes they can eat them but not too often as like you say mouth sores. Once a week would be fine.

I have tried my girls with kiwi and orange and strawberry they will not touch them..nor green pepper.

I worry about vitamin c and i hope they get enough in thier greens.

right, just the juicy inside bit? or the peel aswell? They seem to really want the peel, but I don't eat it so I figured they shouldn't eat it either.

I'm not sure about the peel hun. i shall have a look for you.

I have seen that they can :) But maybe someone on here knows more :)

Broccoli, parsley and dill also have a high vitamin C content. Have you tried peppers of different colours? It sometimes takes time for piggies to accept a new food.

I only feed a segment of orange very occasionally; less than half of the Tribe will eat it.

Thankyou Wiebke.

Yes its a slow process with them, i keep trying :) They do however eat romaine lettuce now and they would not when younger.

Tried green pepper again last night and they gave me a filthy look rolleyes

All 8 of mine love oranges and when they have them I have to put 8 little pieces in otherwise there's a fight.
They also love strawberries, kiwi, apple, melon, pineapple in fact they go mental for fruit.
