Opinion's on perspex sheet for cage base?

Coroplast for my mother is a complete no no. And so is a C&C cage in her mind. But my dad said if I find an alternative base then maybe just maybe I might be able to make a new cage!

So I found a perspex sheet that could make a 2x4 and an 2x1 second level, for 30 pounds in wickes. So I was wondering would that be fine?

Perspex sheets are ok. Make sure the sides are not too high so they have good ventilation. If you use high sides, you can drill holes in them for better air flow.

This is my cage. It's about the size of 2x7 C&C cage. (28 x 98 inches)
