I just wondered if i could get some opinions on the cage ive got for when i get a couple of guineas. its measures 120cm x 60cm x 103cm. thats my 6 years old son standing next to it. do you think it will be big enough for two piggies? I'm getting a bit worried because i wanted to rescue a pair of sows in the near future and i think the cage just meets the requirements but i havent got a garden, and although they would get lots and lots of time out of the cage I'm worried that not having a tasty grass patch might set me back.

I think it looks lovely, I would rehome my piggies in your cage. Not having outdoor space would not be an issue for me when I homecheck, if they can still have plenty of safe indoor play outside the cage. Also you could collect grass for them from a dog free zone as treats. x

i got it from germany. my mum lives there and when she saw it in the petshop she rang me and of course i had to have it. i got a good price too, it cost £86. ive seen similar cages on zooplus.co.uk for £140 but i didnt like the ramps they used.
thankyou nutmeg for your comment. you've put my mind at rest. i was really worried that not having a garden would prevent me from rescuing.

I think thats a fab cage, especially for the price. The guineas who live there will be very chuffed :)

86 pounds! wow, why not make a hutch and run that's quit alot for some metal wireing and a plastic bottom! sorry it just shocked me!
have alook at mine, it cost me about 90 quid and it's giant! (i the run and hutch parts,)

good luck though, it will house about 3
sorry, didn't know you didn't have a garden, still a hutch is good for indoors to.

Hello Zeeniebeenie, what a great cage! it looks huge! I think its great you have looked into getting a good sized cage before you rescue piggies. I'm sure it wont be long before you find some irresitible cuties to put in there! good luck xx

Wow that's cool.
That adoable little face peeking up at the camera :))
What a cutie

The cage is more that adequate for two piggies and maybe a third. I'm goonna go on Zooplus and check out what they as i would love a twotiered cage.

Looks like a great size, and one excited son!

Just thought I'd mention not all piggies will use a ramp, but hopefully yours will learn to. They might want sides on it to feel secure, or some people put a bit of carpet, rubber matt or even a tunnel on the ramp to make them feel safe, as their feet aren't very grippy and they're not natural climbers.

Bargain, I'd say!

i was thinking the same about the ramp and i was maybe going to put a bit of carpet on for them. ill see how they get on and I'm sure ill find a way.
in reply to nutmeg, i would absolutely love to rehome and i have been looking but there are no rescue centres near me and i dont have a car or family round to help so I'm a bit unsure of what to do. we used to havea rescue place called Hara's that did sometimes get guineapigs in but they closed down.
I'm on holiday at the moment for 2 weeks(staying at my mums in germany but to me its a holiday!) but when i get back ill be starting the search for my new additions. ive go a feeling ill be coming home with an extra suitcase full of guineapig goodiesrolleyes

I think that cage looks fab, my two have an out door run but sometimes between the rain and me workin they dont go out as often as they should. However they do have floor time every evening which to be honest they seem to enjoy more than their run time anyway.
but i do give them grass to eat.
