New Born Pup
hello all!
My problem pig, Kaylor, developed a large lump rather quickly fays after her last vet check up for her IC and missing tooth (one on the bottom hasn't growth back after 8 months). It turned out to be a abscess that popped at home. I squeezed out the fluid/gunk and have been flushing it with an antiseptic wash. My vet prescribed an antibiotic (enrofloxacin) and she is also taking metacam twice daily to manage the IC.
Between when I last saw the vet and now, the wound went from being a tiny hole (like the size of a needle) to a huge wound about the diameter of a pencil. I am concerted about keeping it clean. Any advice? She has removed 3 combinations of Band-Aids and tape mixtures because i cannot make them too tight otherwise she would have difficulty eating.
