Open Wound on Guinea Pig

One of my guinea pigs is 3 and 1/2 years old and has recently acquired a large wound on her side. It is still open and has been there for 3-4 weeks and she will not let it heal. Any advice?

Take her to the vet as soon as possible as it is susceptible to infection. How big is it?

Have you seen a vet already? She will need pain relief to keep her comfortable while it heals and antibiotics to prevent infection. What caused the wound?

ditto on the vet asap. Finding out the cause is important too. While waiting, try some saline or salt with water just to help out until you can get her in to see your vet.
