I’m relatively new to having guinea pigs again although I did have one when I was younger. I recently adopted a guinea pig from petco that was pregnant, I gave away all her babies but kept a female to keep at her cage mate. I now have the two piggies and they get along amazing provided that they have two entrances to each hut, I’m currently using cardboard but they like to try and chew on that too often. Where is a good place to buy huts that have two openings ?

pet shops or I tend to get things from amazon.

I use ones like the picture I’ve added below. You just need to watch sizing (particularly if you buy online) as they come in a variety of sizes, some of which would be too small for piggies

We like the Hop-Inn wooden houses you can buy on Amazon, very sturdily built with a door at the front and a door at the side

And on eBay if you just search "guinea pig castle" these are very good too but tend to get a bit wee stained as they arent painted but there are different sizes and shapes, all with 2 doors and a roof deck up a little ramp!

They are fine to chew the cardboard. I prefer to use plain brown boxes for this reason but I throw in stuff like that specifically for them to chew!

Yes cardboard boxes are very good too, amazon boxes with doors cut in, or wine box beds like this one Ollie and Tallulah have been eating and playing in are good, you can put a fleecy pee pad or some newspaper and hay in the bottom to make them last a bit longer!

Give my boys a cardboard box and it’s like Christmas for them! They aren’t satisfied until it is completely destroyed!
