does any one know how to make a piggies bed with a roll around the outside, or anything simple. I do like the piggy loos but Molly would just lie in it peeing & pooing.

Yes. Sadly I haven't got pictures of the step by step.

You need:
Fleece,
6oz polyester wadding

First make the base. Cut out the size you want plus 2-3 cm extra (basically 1cm will be tucked in as seams, and the extra 1 - 2cm will make up for the fact that the sides will 'puff-out' slightly into the base)
Sew two base pieces of material together, inside out, and leave a gap in the sewing.
Turn this the right way round
cut the wadding to the size of the right-way-round fleece base.
Place the wadding in the base.
Now sew 1cm in from the edge of the base to secure the wadding in place - it makes sure it doesn't slip out of place in the wash.
Sew the edges of the gap together.
Take a long strip of fleece and fold it lengthways. See that it wraps around the circumference of the base and meets up with itself.
Sew it inside out, leave a gap in the sewing at one end.
Turn it right way round.
Cut out the wadding to fit, and put it inside the fleece piece.
Sew directly down the cetre longways from end to end to secure the fleece into position.
Sew the ends together, making a circle that will go all the way around the base.
Sew it onto the base.

Voi-la :)

Actually here's a base. I use it as an extra cushion - a removable and replaceable pad to go inside to keep the bed fresh between washes.
You can see how I've sewn it 1 cm in from the edge to keep the wadding in place.

And here's one of the beds: Hopefully my description of the long bit of fleece that wraps around the base will make more sense now :)

As you can see by the side view I sewed along the strip from end to end, along the centre to keep the wadding in place. In this example I put a decorative strip of blue fleece there as a feature, but it isn't necessary.

And the whole thing with the pad inside

The base is 21cm in diameter. The long strip is roughly 80cm long. However I would make the whole thing a few cm larger than this, I wish I had :)
I actually measured mine on a snuggle-safe pad which I can fit under the cushion is necessary. It's not necessary generally, but useful if I have a poorly piggy needing extra warmth :)

Here's Cloud, demonstrating the improper use of a Pigloo, just as you suspect would be the case! :) Though to be fair my Freddie loves lying inside his as much as he does on top :)

And here's a picture of this same bed I made, again being modelled by Cloud. Please note Cloud was always a small piggy, the smallest adult I've ever had. My larger pigs like these beds bit spill out of them a bit, hence recommending them to be a little larger. Next to it is a professionally made bed, a bit larger and a slightly different shape, and nicer done than mine :) It's from the same lady who makes the lovely Pigloos.

Thanks Critter, now shall I make the roll one or the cushion Mmmm. I think the cushion might be easier.
Mind you I could be excused as I haven't got a sewing machine. Lol
