I had visitors today, around the time Bann's meds were due. They asked if they could hold him once his meds were done and he was quite happy to oblige, and I handed him over with a fleece pad because, hey, poop. And he did poop, he pooped a lot. Maybe a little dry but considering he's been on Baytril a week it's very good poop indeed.

So then they asked if they could hold Mourne once Bann was back inside, and I agreed. And it wasn't til I handed him over and had sat down again that I realised my mistake.

Friends, I left the fleece pad with my visitor.

Mourne could smell a guinea pig! Right there! He could smell it! It was hiding! Where was it?!?!? So he's wheeking up a storm and rumbling away at this guinea pig who was no longer there and poor Mourne, poor poor Mourne, couldn't find them. I did apologise and point out the rumbling wasn't for them but for Bann, but...

Note to Self - change the pad next time!

(Also for extra giggles, Mourne was rumbling at the cage where Bann's bed was while Bann was pooping on my neighbour. Poor lad. He tries so hard.)

Sounds like an entertaining visit for your visitors :D but poor Mourne indeed. I am however glad that Banns poops aren’t half bad for a piggy on baytril x

Comet never took to Baytril too well, thankfully the only thing Bann's ever had issue with is the taste :))

At least he's beautiful......

There was about half a second to tell him that and he sentence was barely finished when Mourne went off on a mad one, and I was too busy laughing to be of help. I must've looked slightly concerned at one point because they'd said "it's okay, I've got him" while he's clearly trying to search behind the sofa for this missing guinea pig.

Bann, meanwhile, was in the cage, eating hay, and ignoring the shenanigans entirely. "Nout to do with me, people."

I love boars when they get older. They are so lovely. I miss having boars ....

He is a stark contrast to the maniac 1yr old he shares a divider wall with, lol. I suspect, should the tine come, that's going to be a neuter and bond with a sow situation, or I'm going to need to find another so-laid-back-he's-horizontal boar somewhere and I doubt I'll be so lucky, lol.
