Only pig

Hi everyone

I have been given an unwanted 10w old pig and he is alone. Id really love to get him a pal as my others are so happy as a pair and he seems a bit lonely


How would I go about this? would an older or younger companion be best?

He is still young so either I would say, but I always suggest trying a rescue/RSPCA first as you should be able to take him along and see who he gets along with. Have a look online for some near you :)
 
I agree - where abouts are you? He might pair with another youngster of a similar age / size, or an older boar, there are so many in rescue at the moment you should have a good choice!

I'm in Exeter,Devon
I know there is a RSPCA near so might go there tomorrow. Its just a bit tricky to get there when you dont drive!

i guess that depends on the personalitites? i bonded two pairs of bonded sows, and i'm going to introduce sonny to be thribe when he's old enough to be castrated!
 
My rescue is in South Devon, though at the moment I don't have any single boars suitable to pair up but just shout if I can be of any help.

I'll keep a look out, welcome to the world of piggies!:)

RSPCA Exeter took in quite a few recently, give them a ring as they aren't always up to date on their website.
