Our two male piggies are now housed in a brick outhouse with the door open during the day (they're in their hutch, obviously!). I've just been out there to give them their veg and hay for the night and noticed that one of them was trying to get on top of the other one! We've had them and they were born on May so I'm assuming that this is normal behaviour now they're a bit older. Is there anything I should be watching for? Is this OK for them to be trying to do this to each other?! Sorry for the naive questions!

It's perfectly normal, boars mount to establish dominance - just keep an eye on them

Yes, keep an eye on them. Look out for any aggression or fighting. When you have them out for a cuddle, check their back, neck and ears just in case.
Hopefully things will settle down soon and it is just a puberty/dominance thing.
Keep us posted.

And look out for lumps of dried semen around the rear end of the boy who's being mounted. It generally needs to be clipped out.

Do double check their sex! Depending on where you got them, we have heard of a lot of cases on here of baby pigs being mis sexed and the sow becoming pregnant :(

If they definately are 2 boars, this is normal behaviour, some do it more than others and it is to establish dominance.

Last week i noticed Ozzy trying to mount Marley and i was shocked lol he was doing it quite regularly last week but no fights have occured, think Marley has just accepted that Ozzy is in charge! I have been keeping an eye on them and havent noticed them doing it again recently (but they could just be waiting til i'm not around!) I think all male animals do the same sort of thing really, as long as they dont start fighting they should be fine!
