First I would like to start off with saying thank you to all the welcomes and useful tips I received on my last post! My profile picture is a picture of Cane, I don’t have many pictures of her because she’s doesn’t trust me. However I did attach a picture of Sugar, she seems to like sitting on my shoulder.

The topic of this post is that I’m unsure on whether they like each other or not. They cuddle a lot and sleep with each other a lot. However, I noticed a behavior pattern with Sugar. Sugar will purr then start to walk real slowly towards Cane. She then will try to get real close to her while trying to rub against her.It then seems as if this is bothering Cane and Cane will start to almost whimper(?) while trying to move away. I haven’t seen any bites or scratches or signs of fighting though? This sometimes leads to Sugar continuously trying to approach her and Cane constantly moving away. But then once it’s done, it’s almost as if it never happened. But I’m concerned because Cane makes whimpering like sound as if she’s scared?CB3D30DA-1154-4A13-8E5F-9E4D6B5E5186.webp

Hi!

Rumble-strutting is normal mild dominance behaviour to which submission screaming or whimpering is the correct response. Your two are simply busy establishing a functional group in their new home; this usually takes a while.
Sows: Behaviour and female health problems (including ovarian cysts)

Have you double-checked their gender upon arrival?
